President Donald Trump granted onstage pardons to owners of an Anchorage auto shop convicted of Clean Air Act violations for disabling pollution-control equipment on diesel vehicles, NPR reported on October 14.
The pardons came at his Tuesday campaign rally in Wasilla, Alaska, where he urged support for Republican Senator Dan Sullivan and U.S. Representative Nick Begich.
Trump also endorsed Bernadette Wilson for governor, a new endorsement reported by NPR's Liz Ruskin. Wilson faces a Democrat and two fellow Republicans in November. Alaska uses ranked-choice voting in general elections.
