NASA says Albania, Croatia, Côte d’Ivoire and San Marino have joined the Artemis Accords, taking participation to 76 countries. The United States and seven partner nations established the framework in 2020.
The accords address peaceful exploration, assistance in emergencies, access to scientific data and coordination between missions. Signing the framework is distinct from announcing a particular spacecraft launch or funding a mission.
NASA said the next meeting of principals, beginning October 5 in Antalya, Türkiye, will consider support for emerging space nations and recommendations on lunar debris.
